What is the 5 Pins Game?
The goal of 5 Pins (also known as pin billiards) is to be the first to reach the required number of points, while trying to prevent your opponent from scoring.
The most important rule to remember is that the cue ball must always first hit the opponent’s ball, with or without touching a cushion beforehand. If this does not happen, no points can be scored and a penalty of at least 2 points is awarded to the opponent. Playing directly from the red ball is never allowed.
The only shot during which points may not be scored is the break shot (the opening shot). If a player does score during the break shot, those points go to the opponent.
