Unique Antique Half-Match Billiard Table – “Louis-Philippe” Model with Royal History
This exceptional half-match billiard table is a true masterpiece from the 19th century, crafted between 1850 and 1865 as the final project of a talented intern at the prestigious French brand Toulet. At that time, Toulet had its factory in Brussels, where craftsmanship and tradition went hand in hand.
According to tradition passed down by the previous owner, this table even stood for a period in the Royal Palace of Laken during the reign of King Leopold II – a royal past that further enhances its historical value.
The model is known as the Louis-Philippe, characterized by elegant, understated lines and high-quality materials. The table is crafted from solid rosewood, a durable and exclusive wood species with a warm, deep grain structure.
The playing surface measures 255 x 127 cm and is constructed from a 3-piece slate of an impressive 6 cm thickness, guaranteeing perfect flatness and playing quality. The table comes with a new Simonis cloth, recognized worldwide as the standard in professional billiard textiles.
The restoration was carried out with care in our workshop, intervening only where necessary, with great respect for the original finish and details. The authenticity and soul of the piece have been completely preserved.
